Eco-Kids Festival
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, Keep Smyrna Beautiful held an Eco-Kids Festival to celebrate America Recycles Day. Festival goers learned about recycling and other ways to take care of the earth.
Participants visited 6 educational booths to get a stamp on their “passport.”
Topics included the following:
- Ask a Recycler
- Recycling Craft (Toilet paper birdfeeder)
- Enviroscape (Watershed demonstration)
- PET Plastic
- Recycling Sorting Game
- Litter Timeline
About 60 children and adults attended the festival and learned about how to recycle better, prevent water pollution, sort litter from recycling, and more!
