Community Cleanups
Community Cleanups are part of KSB’s litter reduction efforts. When litter on the side of the road is washed into waterways with stormwater, it pollutes our local water sources, harms wildlife, and makes our city a less beautiful place to live. We schedule these cleanups 2 to 3 times a month and choose the locations based on current need.
Additional Details
- We schedule Community Cleanups on different days and different times for an hour and a half in order to allow community members with a variety of schedules to be able to attend and lend a hand.
- KSB provides all the necessary supplies and training.
- Ages 12 and up may participate in Community Cleanups. Volunteers under the age of 16 must volunteer alongside a parent or guardian.
