Storm Drain Marking
When it rains, stormwater rushes into the closest storm drain. Contaminants—including litter, chemicals, and other pollutants—then drain into local creeks and streams. These contaminants directly pollute our local water supply.
Storm Drain Marking volunteers place eye-catching decals on top of the storm drains to inform the public that dumping into these drains is not permitted.

- This is an independent volunteer opportunity. KSB provides the supplies, route, and instructions, but the activity is self-directed.
- Dates and hours are flexible and depend on your group’s availability.
- Storm Drain Marking typically lasts between 1 and 3 hours.
- Volunteers must be at least 8 years old to participate. Volunteers younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
