Recycling Resources
In addition to the Smyrna Recycling Center, there are many local resources to help meet your recycling needs.
City of Smyrna Curbside Recycling
While Keep Smyrna Beautiful is a strong advocate of recycling and dedicated to the effort of educating the public about the curbside recycling program in Smyrna, it is not run or managed by Keep Smyrna Beautiful. The City of Smyrna Curbside Recycling Program for Smyrna residents is provided by the City of Smyrna Public Works Department, Sanitation Division.

Where to Recycle Items that are Hard to Recycle
There are some items like are challenging to recycle. If you would like to recycle an item that is on our not accepted item list, we encourage you to try these other community resources.
Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) – Live Thrive Atlanta
Location : 1110 Hill St SE, Atlanta, GA 30315
Examples of what they accept:
- Paint
- Household chemicals
- Tires
- Styrofoam
- Refrigerators
- Textiles

Advanced Disposal Transfer Station
Location : 1897 County Services Pkwy. Marietta, GA 30008
Advanced Disposal offers a place to take some of those harder to get rid of items.
- Paint – $5 a gallon $25 bucket
- Propane Tanks – $5 a tank
- Freon Removal – $5 to remove freon from items being dropped off
- Tire – $5 a piece
Transfer station hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. For more information call (770) 485-8940
