Rivers Alive brings volunteers together each year to protect the tributaries that flow into the Chattahoochee River. This annual effort helps prevent litter from reaching local waterways, safeguards wildlife, and preserves the natural beauty of our region. Volunteers and groups are welcome to join in making a lasting environmental impact.
Our annual Garden Tour is a signature celebration of Smyrna’s outstanding private gardens and a source of inspiration for anyone who wants to beautify their own home or neighborhood. Each year, the tour highlights creative landscapes, thoughtful planting, and the many ways gardens can support both community and conservation.
Bring One for the Chipper is Keep Smyrna Beautiful’s annual Christmas tree recycling event, giving live trees a second life instead of sending them to the landfill. Trees are chipped into mulch for the community, and participants can also take home free tree seedlings while supplies last. It’s a free, easy way to reduce waste and support Smyrna’s urban tree canopy.
Our annual document shredding events offer a secure and convenient way to dispose of sensitive paper documents while keeping waste out of landfills. Open to everyone, these events make it simple to recycle paper responsibly and protect both your information and the environment.
