Smyrna’s urban tree canopy helps filter air pollution, reduces stormwater runoff, provides habitat for wildlife, and enhances the quality of life in the city. Adopt-a-Tree supports these outcomes by rescuing young trees and seedlings and passing them on to residents, schools, parks, and other organizations.

Additional Details

  • Trees are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Please fill out the interest form below for additional details and to help us track interest.
  • Tree recipients are responsible for picking up and planting the tree themselves, although we have provided some resources on proper planting, linked in the Resources section of this page.
  • KSB volunteers rescue trees from properties that are slated for development or that homeowners donate; Georgia Forestry Commision provides some seedlings for community events.
  • Because most of these trees are rescues, KSB cannot guarantee the long-term viability of the trees.
  • If you would like to donate a healthy tree that you no longer want on your property, email info@keepsmyrnabeautiful.com with the type of tree and a photo. Trees are accepted based on their size.
